Defeating Ganondorf in Twilight Princess GCN version
I wrote that a while back on trying to write a guide on how to defeat the final boss in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Now, the game itself was enjoyable to me personally. I know there are some people out there that didn't quite like it. I've also heard the same with it being positive. Personally, I thought the game was fun. Maybe it was just a bit easy to complete the bosses and run through it directly but there were some challenges.
Of course, that's just the GameCube version of the game as I have not played the Wii Version so I don't know if it would be harder or not. I just know it would take some getting used to with the Wiimote but that's another story.
This was the very last Zelda game produced on the GameCube and was released a month after the Wii version. A lot of expectations were riding on the game with it trying to reach a level up to Ocarina of Time if you recall. Did it reach that goal? I would say for me, it would be up there with it but did it surpass it, I'm not so sure on that. It was a bit shorter and didn't have as many side quests as you would expect. Good news for this is that there was no Tingle to get greedy.
What you got was a small review of it looking at now. I do one earlier that pretty much echos it and I still feel that it was enjoyable but that's just my own honest opinion on it.
The 1st battle isn't really too hard. If you have played Ocarina of Time, it is similar to that battle. Only difference is that it takes three shots to win in the first form. Not a huge challenge if you can get your timing right. Watch out for the Triforce attack on the ground and being speared by Zelda.
2nd form is a beast actually so all you need to know is to lock on directly and shake him to the left and right until he falls. Of course, you could become Wolf Link and have Midna grab him by the horns and just try to toss with the same method. Transform back to regular Link and just use your sword to attack. It takes about three tries knocking him down and hitting him about four times each.
The 3rd form is Horseback mode. You are riding your horse Epona with Zelda having the Light Arrows. When you get in close range, lock on to Ganon so that Zelda can hit him and then you hit with your sword. Just do that until he falls off his horse.
The final battle is a sword battle to the end and it is like being trapped in a cage. Think of it as a battle to the death and is the hardest battle. This one requires patience and more of using your skills that you acquired throughout the game in order to win. Once you knock him down quite a bit, all you got left eventually is delivering the final blow and it will be over. Check the guide with the link above for some more details on it.
