Defeating Nebula Gray

Mega Man Battle Network 5's final boss is one that is going to take some serious time to master. He is known as Nebula Grey.

With Mega Man Battle Network 5, the hardest battle is going to be at the very end being Nebula Gray. While it may seem like it would just be the DS version, keep in mind that he is the final boss in the GBA games. This is one that is going to require some extensive patience. He is not exactly one that would be easy. In fact, compared to some of the previous ones, like Gospel or the Life Virus, he is harder than that and it has to do with timing and getting into perfection.

He has four attacks and three of them are not too difficult to dodge. The first one is the flames that rise from the ground. Just simply move up or down as long as you're out of the way.

Second one is that he can spit flame. A highlighted square will indicate where it starts. Just keep moving out of the way. As far as which direction, just wherever you won't get hit.

Third one will be summoning a dark chip using Mega Man DS. It can be anything actually. He has a dark thunder that can be avoided by going left and right above or below the center. Dark Sword takes up 2 x 3 so move to the left. Dark Asteroids can be avoided. Dark Lance takes time to figure out how to avoid but don't be at the far left.

Fourth one is where he puts the claw and drains energy from Mega Man and gives himself energy. This one is the toughest to avoid but keep a watch on the highlighted squares. If you can avoid them, you're in good shape.

After beating the first form, there is a bonus chapter that needs to be completed. The first time around, you'll fight the Alpha version, which is Version 2. Those attacks are a bit stronger but use that trick.

Depending upon time on the second time in Nebula Area 6, you may end up fighting the Beta version. Again, the strategy is about the same.

To fight the Omega version, you're going to need to collect all the badges. The hardest one to get may be the Bass one because in order for that to happen, you have to somehow be real good at beating the DS NetNavis from either Team Colonel or Team Proto Man between 2 and 3 minutes total.

A crazy idea is to somehow get Shadow Soul and use that. That would mean having an invisible or anti damage for example inside and then charge up the buster to hit that blue flame. Do not go to chips right away. Dodge and also just use timing to hit him. If he's about to attack, don't try to do too much and just move out of the way. It's better than just getting hit while trying to attack.
